This is our second Jansport for our son-the 1st would still be in use had not some hoodlum child(not my son) not cut the piece where you can hang it on a hook(necessary to hang in an elementary school classroom). The first lasted 4 yrs and would still be going-no rips, tears etc. Which says alot since it was used by a boy from K-3rd and takes alot of abuse. These backpacks are a little more, but well worth it for the years and years you can get out of them. Super sturdy. Don't buy the 10.00 mesh one from a discount store, spend a little more and get one you will not have to replace by Christmas. My daughter still has a Jansport sling backpack that is still in excellent shape after 5 years.

My 14 year old son has only had the backpack for a month but so far it is holding up very well. He started the school year with an Adidas backpack and it started tearing in the first month. So far we have no signs of holes or tearing and my son is very pleased with it and his only complaint is the straps he would have liked them to be more like the one on the Adidas bag.

I purchased this backpack for my child due to the new regulations the schools have placed. My child needed a backpack that was mesh or clear. This bag has been a really good purchase, plus it has been very sturdy. I do not have to worry about crumbs in the bag or will it rip due to the netting material on it. My child has had it for a year and a half, no problems yet.

I ordered the pink for my daughter who is going to middle school. The booksac is very pretty, and has great full padded back support along with padded shoulder straps. It is a nice size too, not like a piece of travel luggage on her back.
